Bobcats blow out Bulls 91-70
Clayton leads Ohio with 16 points

ATHENS – Ohio stayed hot and moved back over .500 by running away from Buffalo 91-70 on Tuesday night at The Convo.
The Bobcats (11-10, 5-4 Mid-American Conference) led 41-26 at halftime, did not let the Bulls (2-18, 1-7 MAC) get closer than 12 early in the second half and eventually led by as many as 27 points late in the game.
AJ Clayton led five Ohio players in double figures by scoring 16 points. Ajay Sheldon finished with 15 points in just 17 minutes, and Shareef Mitchell scored 15 points with five rebounds. Miles Brown scored 11 points, and Jaylin Hunter finished with 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Buffalo actually had an early 10-4 lead before things changed with an 8-0 Ohio run. Sheldon hit a 3-pointer that put the Bobcats up for good, though the Bobcats stayed close through the first nine minutes of the game.
Mitchell hit a 3-pointer that was the start of a 15-2 Ohio run. It was capped by a Mitchell layup that made it 32-18 with just under five minutes left in the first half.
The Bobcats had a 10-1 run early in the second half, capped by a Clayton 3-pointer that made it 55-34 only five minutes into the second half. Ohio’s biggest lead was 80-53 on a Mitchell 3-pointer with 5:21 remaining.
Ike Cornish scored nine points in 15 minutes off the bench for the Bobcats.
Cy Chatman had a game-high 22 points for Buffalo. Jonnivius put up 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Ohio shot 45.1% while holding Buffalo to 37.3% shooting. The Bobcats were 16 of 17 at the foul line and committed just six turnovers while forcing 12.
