What are you watching? What are you seeing you sickos?

Olumide Adelodun is a starter for Niagara and just got posterized at Sparty.

We should get a home/home with Penn just so our guys can say they've played at the Palestra.

Not sure what Geno Ford was thinking, but his Stony Brook basketball team dodged his bonehead decision in its 1-point win at CMU.

With the score tied at 71-71, Ford instructed his team to foul CMU's Pritchard with 24 seconds left. The Stony Brook player who committed the foul based on his coach's instructions, looked at Ford perplexed after the whistle. I had the volume muted, so if there was an explanation from the announcers, I did not hear it.

Pritchard made the first shot, missed the 2nd, but a CMU teammate grabbed the rebound. Stony Brook had to foul this time. However, the CMU player missed both of his attempts and Stony Brook won on a layup with 3 seconds left.

Averaging 8 assists per game in 22 minutes. Wild.

Hopefully he’s learned his lesson on places he hangs and folks he hangs with.

Bad news from Indianapolis.

APSU leading Butler at the half at Hinkle.

Not the classic Thad Matta team at Butler though. They seem very ready to settle for 3-point shots and never get anything going toward the rim. Peay is outplaying them.

Butler was apparently picked to finish 8th in the Big East. Still.

Bowling Green laid an egg in the first half vs. Davidson, then put up a fight in the second half down to a 2-possession game in the final 2-minutes but never could get over the hump.

Davidson scored over 90 points, so it looks like BG has little to offer on defense so far this season. Offense will be good in the MAC.

Everyone else feasted on cupcakes, except Buffalo, which is struggling early at home vs. a D-II.

Watched the Peay game. Butler was outhustled. Their board is melting down. Unhappy fanbase. Lots of good games on the last few days.

Checked Cameron off the list as we watched the Cooper Flagg coming out and caught up with our Hometown kid Mason Gillis in Durham. Will be fun to see Mark Pope's Kids v Dookies this week.

Get to see 3 games in the Palestra over Thanksgiving weekend when Maine sees Elon, Penn and Navy in an MTE.

Basketball is back. New LG TV and had to learn a new remote. Very happy to see the return. HS hoops does not start for a while so OD on college.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

Flagg's twin brother, one year behind Cooper as a h.s. grad, has committed to Maine. I had no idea he had a twin, or how good he is, until I read about his commitment. Is your boy Tommy still on the Maine staff?

Another year where I’d give my left nut for Gabe Dynes.

5 points and 3 blocks for him vs OSU in the 1st half. Including running out and swatting one from the 3 point line.

It's not Randall, is it?

Watched Austin Peay/Chattanooga last night. AP is really solid, Sai Witt will be an challenge for us -- Wide-bodied big. NC State transfer LJ Thomas is averaging 20 through 3 games.

On the other side, wasn't overly impressed with Garrison Keesler -- the 6'7 PG from D2 we had interest in this past portal cycle.

Kent down 20-3, 30-8, before 'closing' to 36-22 at halftime to No. 5 Auburn.

UT lost 3 starters to major conference teams and still might be better this year. Maddox to X, Moss to Oregon, and Tyler Cochran has added Minnesota to his resume of NIU, Ball St., and Toledo.
Love UT's super sophs of Wilson and Simmons. Ohio could surely use the old-school post play of Simmons, a Columbus City League recruit.

It sure feels like we are behind the eight ball compared to other teams in the league right now. I’m not surprised about Toledo. I feel like for the rest of my life, Toledo is going to win the regular season championship every year for as long as Tod K is there. That is fine as long as they continue to choke every March.

Early MAC observations:

CMU playing well on the road, a good sign for them.

Toledo, as usual, has a lot of firepower.

Ball State's Payton Sparks now, is nothing like the Payton Sparks from before. Big (emphasis on big) difference.

Akron (like Ohio) still looks to be unsettled, but freshman PG is one to watch going forward.

Buffalo is loaded with youth, will struggle, but might surprise on a good night.

Kent hard to read, except for opening road win at Louisiana. Should still be decent.

BG is loaded with talented athletes ... will be a load come MAC play if they stay together.

We'll see what changes after another week.

UB plays Bryant on ESPN+ at 7 tonight. Bulls, as we all know, is rebuilding and won't be confused with some of the great teams during the Hurley and Oats years.

However, they are starting two frosh bigs, 6-8 Michaels and 6-11 Oboh, both from England. Also, 7-0 frosh Meinarts saw his first action in UB's last game at Notre Dame. He scored 10 pts in 11 min. No, he is not from England. Meinarts comes to western New York state from Latvia.

UB's international-flavored roster also includes 4 players from Canada and 1 from Australia.

What a mess.

Ike Cornish through games is averaging 14.5 points for Nicholls. And almost entirely from the three point line - he has made only one two point attempt and attempted only four free throws.
