Think he's a great coach, but also think the sheen's off him a bit after the lack of results at Illinois. He'll need an NCAA tournament run at Akron to change that. If they want to take a big swing, I think it'll be somebody like Will Wade. If they are looking for a guy who is unproved at the P5 level, it'll be somebody on the ascent and with program connections like the dude at Utah State. Do you think Nova is realistic for Groce? I'm of the belief that Groce is best off going to a school at the level of Dayton or Temple before heading off to a power conference. Hard to imagine Nova is realistic. They're talking about paying $20m to buy out Cronin from UCLA. I think the reality is that Groce is unlikely to be anybody's tier 1 choice, unless -- to your point -- it's a Dayton/Temple level school first.
