The pictures with the article show this isn't recent. Guess this will be the next building we get told has to come down. As I recall from when I was at O.U., Bromley was built as a private Dorm. When he visited Athens, the father saw the need for a higher-end "dorm" (he was right) and pitched the idea to friends and associates. Tragically, the son was killed in an auto accident and the father pushed the group to divest of the property. The university bought it, then sold it (during the early-70s cash crunch) and bought it again.
