I have two front row center section seats for a show in early May. Can't figure out whether to go or sell them.

Alan:
Several of my friends have seen the show.
Their comments range from "best thing Bruce ever did" to "good show, but his concerts are better".

The overall consensus is that,no matter how good the show is, he is gauging the audience, especially for the additional shows, apparently with more to come.

Perfect example:
John Lithgow is doing a one man show in a similar size theater.
His tickets are $39.00-$139.00.

Bruce knows he can get "Hamiltonian" money,so he's going for it.

I live 20 minutes from the city,so I keep trying for "reasonably" priced "day of show" tickets .
No luck so far.

Alan: Steveland/Bobcatsquared would mortgage his daughter's future for those tickets. He's probably already looking into pulling her out of Athens and enrolling her at OSU-Newark (his alma mater).

Was reading the comments from 2 people who were at last night's show.
One was a contest winner.
The other a Sirius employee.

From what it sounds like there were a lot more celebrities/V.I.P.'s and FOS (friends of Sirius) including employees then contest winners.

Not surprising given what it took to win tickets,by calling in.

I don't know anyone who won tickets through their email lottery.

It was Sirius's show,so they could do what they want.

Its just that they gave the impression the show would be for fans.

Now the "everybody gets a trophy" movement has hit Broadway.

Bruce isn't eligible for a "competitive" Tony,in part because he didn't give tickets to the Tony voters.

So,they resurrected the "Special" Tony for him and John Leguizamo.

Hey,it gets Bruce to perform on the show, which will boost viewership.
Plus he gets a "participation" Tony to take home.

Back from NY and the show - not the concert but the show and what a show it was. The first part followed the book pretty closely up until the age of 20. Our seats were in the orchestra center on the right side aisle which as it turned out were perfect in that he played several songs on the piano not 12 feet from us. The show built nicely in the last 45 minutes almost like a revival complete with a call to action. Here's a clip from 31 years ago that mirrors to a certain extent the build up to the end.

Not a cheap ticket but well worth the experience.
