I would've posted this on the football board, but since non-football discussions are frowned upon...

Is Miller's Chicken really open on Saturdays now?! I swear that wasn't the case even last year. Or am I wrong about that? I may need to just buy chicken instead of cooking at tailgates.

Feel free to discuss any great Athens food spots here. We need a good list for away fans to view!

I've seen crazier things happen.

I don't ever remember Millers being closed on Saturday's, but I could be wrong.  Great place to stop and eat at before games.

I may be getting it confused with Sunday.

Has never been closed on Saturdays - closes at 7:00 PM (for all the 36 years I have been going there). Closed on Sundays.

FYI - best time to go is right before closing - likely get an extra piece or two tossed in the bucket..............

I luv me some Millers. Never had a problem with it being open.

I saw there is a new Japanese restaurant on COurt St. , May have to try that out.

DP DOugh is always good, Just there 2 weeks ago.

I saw the liquor store in Tipp City is carrying Jackie O's now so that is always a winner for brew

ANxious to hear if Pigskin is any better this year. Want them to do well after the remodel but has been a bust the last 3 times in there.

Can't beat Big Mamas after dark.

Just a few of my current faves.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

Lot of the Columbus beer spots, growler fill spots, and bars serving different Jackie-O's brews as well. I'm guessing they've probably had to double (or better) their production in the past year or two. Awesome to see/hear (and drink).

They actually have opened a new Tap Room and production facility in the old Cheese Barn. For you younger folks, that facility was most recently an auto glass shop right behind Sonic on Stimson.  These guys really have it going including their own farm.  Good to see local businesses continue to grow and employ people.  If we just had cultivated a better relationship with Rossi Pasta 20+ years ago.

Have always been a huge fan of Bagel Street. Going there on Sunday around noon of Homecoming weekend is downright insane though.
