So shameful that we took his money. He represents everything our journalism majors should avoid.

Last night I caught up on some reading that had been piling up.  There was an extensive article about Roger Ailes in one of my Esquire magazines.  It was an interesting story and I posted the article link below.  I understand that politics can be polarizing, but I do not understand how you can say OU should not accept his gift.  He did not make his fortune doing anything illegal.  You do not have to agree with his political stance to say that he has been wildly successful in his chosen field.  I would hope that the Scripps School of Journalism and the College of Communications would be teaching that there are differing opinions.  I would also hope that they are teaching students there is a business aspect to those fields of study.  There are a lot of business leaders and companies I do not care for.  I would not suggest the College of Business turn down a gift from one of those entities simply because I do not like them.

It has nothing to do with politics. He made his fortune through telling people lies.
