Itching to get back to Wren next spring - got a few friends who I love to discuss / watch baseball with that are looking to come watch OU baseball - keeping my expectations very realistic for this season compared to last - we lost a few guys to graduation namely Kasperbauer & Minzey and Sabol, Patino and a few others to the portal.

Someone I think could step up is sophomore Billy Adams - batted .324 for us last season as a freshman. Lots of new freshman and portal guys coming in, including Bryce Smith from Loyola Marymount. I see coach Moore used the portal reload the pitching staff - including Carson Denham from Arcadia who has put up a 2.36 and 3.08 ERA the past two seasons. We desperately need it seeing how pitching fell apart last season. I can see us barely squeaking into the tournament or missing it this year barely, given we have quite a bit of new guys on the team.

I'm always down to talk hardball. I don't know much about this roster but I like the strategy to bring in transfers on the pitching side of things. This isn't really a new strategy, however, because baseball tends to utilize JUCO transfers more than the other sports.

Brining in veteran arms who have been around D1 programs is a good move. Ramp up time should be cut down and hopefully these guys are hungry to prove themselves at their next stop here in Athens.

Agree that it's a better approach - we have a few frosh pitchers coming in as well. JUCO transfers could be a thing we should look into, seeing the success of many in basketball - Can't wait to get back in Wren. Hope my guy Rausch can bounce back after a decline last year.
