A Valiant effort to say the least against the #1 seed in their home stadium. Had a 4-3 lead into the 8th when Ball St scored 1 to tie it. Bobcats got runners on 2nd & 3rd in the 9th but did not score, then BSU hit a walk off home run in the 9th to win it.

Do or die time now in the Loser's bracket against Toledo at 9 am this morning. Bobcats will have to beat Toledo, then the loser of Ball St/CMU, then the winner of Ball St/CMU twice. Uphill battle that we probably don't have the pitching depth for. Our best chance of pulling off an upset was the simple 3 straight wins method that we were close to being on track for, but let's hope the Cats can at least extend the season another day and see what happens.

A super exciting start with 4 runs in the first and then thud. Hudson Boncal got the start and got lit up for his 3rd straight start and it didn't get much better from there.

It was a good season, I would say exceeded a lot of expectations. We were inches away from winning that 1st game and then who knows what would've happened from there.

While we are in the bonus Covid year era, you don't really know what you have until the roster is posted next year...but the Bobcats have a lot of key players that are Seniors or Graduate students. They'll have to reload if they want to get back to the MAC tourney.

Thanks for the info. I was planning to tune in, but I was not able to. Looks like I didn't miss much! As a Cub fan, I know the mantra well, "Wait until next year!" :-)
