I thought it would make sense to put in 2019 kids that were previously being recruited by Boals and his staff. My logic is that they'll have more than just the one slot to fill once things shake out, so maybe a few of the players they're already recruiting could end up here. The 2020 list is huge, so I'll stick with 2020 right now. My intent is to only show Ohio or regionally nearby kids, or kids with Ohio ties for some reason.

Thanks! Looks like a rebounding machine! Since you're a Cincy guy - do you have any thoughts on him?

Never seen him play other than a few short videos here and there. Seems like he's still getting used to his own size.

I think this thread is definitely worthwhile and insightful, but I'd also add that Coach Boals is not necessarily going to recruit the same players at Ohio as he did at Stony Brook. MAC > America East. (Any America East people who may read this, this isnt meant as an insult. It's just a fact, like comparing a Power 5 conference to the MAC).

Oh, I agree they won't necessarily do that. I do think it's possible that for 2019 they'd lean on some of the work they've already done. On the other hand, they may have a list of guys they knew they couldn't get to Stony Brook, but they could get to Athens they'll be talking to. And, it's also probably heavily dependent on how many, and which players choose to stay at Ohio.

In terms of quality, while I agree MAC > America East, it's worth noting that this staff has already offered a handful of 3* and 4* kids at Stony Brook. That could mean they were already targeting the types of players that would do well here. (see the verbal commits page)

Jake Charske is originally from Beavercreek Ohio, now lives in Florida. He has received interest from Kent St and Stoneybrook. Class of 2020.

Reading up around Twitter, it sounds as though Kirk fully intends on leaving. Left off this list was Javohn Garcia out of Pick Central who was offered by Stony Brook, a few MAC teams, and JMU.

Javohn Garcia would be a good get.

Anyone else know anything more about Mr. Garcia that isn't listed on the Verbal Commits page? It seems like Pick Central kids usually end up being solid college players.

He was committed to Fiami, he averaged 20 points a game and was second team all-state. He and Lunden were rated the 12th and 13th best players in the state. He is a two guard with some PG skills. https://www.hometownstations.com/sports/div-i-ii-all-ohio...
