We had an in-hone visit with 2015 PG Nick Rogers today according to Trevor Andershock (https://twitter.com/INBBallSource)

3-star from espn

He already has a dozen or so offers including Ole Miss, Nebraska, and Kent State.

Verbal commits is showing an offer as of tomorrow. (4-22)

We must have called him from Japan?

I've seen crazier things happen.

One thing is for sure, the kid has major hops for being 6'1". And I loved the shot he blocked at the rim in his Verbal Commits video.

It is his first visit I believe, so you might want to be patient.

Yeah, this is his first visit. And if he's coming on Thursday, there's no guarantee he will be here over Homecoming weekend.

Im excited abt this visit, but patience may be a virtue in finding out his ultimate decision.

I saw Coach Phillips (and an assistant or two I believe) at the OU inn Restaurant Thursday night with what appeared to be a recruit (likely Mr. Rogers) and his family.

It seems he is or was going to be playing his senior season in Florida at a "sports institute."

We should be able to accomodate him. Selling point that we are a PG away.

We need more than one PG in this program, so there is definitely room for him at Ohio IMO.

My opinion isn't coveted, from what I can tell.

Maybe so, Jeff, but Fake Jeff McK certainly does covet it.

I'd love to see Nick be a spring signing. Are we going to have an open scholly for him?

If you believe what someone else posted, at least one current player was told he won't have a scholarship next year, which would mean there would be one available. A lot of colleges seem to keep recruiting even with none potentially open under the assumption one will open up, which usually does happen.

I'm not sure I believe that's the case. I do still believe that there are a couple of guys on this roster that could make their own choice to play basketball & attend classes elsewhere for more PT. There are a couple that I think will be pretty effective if they stay and add some muscle. It would be really cool to see Rogers added to this year's recruiting class though.

I'm with you. I'm not sure that I believe the claim either, and there are reasons to believe every guy on the roster has potential to contribute. I do think another point guard, especially of Rogers' caliber, would be nice to have, though.

Jamerson is the lay pastor at Traders Point. Just a tidbit that means absolutely nothing.

I'm not sure Chandler Thomas has done much to prove he can contribute.

Before Chandler Thomas was even on campus Ted reported Saul said he may recruit over him the next year and had told Chandler as much. Essentially he had an extra scholarship this year that was going to go unused and gave the kid a shot. Obviously that has not panned out by any stretch of the imagination, although I'm sure he has contributed in practices which is worth something. I don't think there's any chance he's on scholarship next year.
