Ohio has offered a scholarship to 2014 shooting guard prospect Jeff Thomas from Norwalk High School. The 6-5, 185-pounder also has offers from Miami (OH), Wright St. and Fairleigh Dickinson.

Help me out here. Does this guy remind you a little bit of Tommy? Obviously, from the video, we don't know if he can take charges. However, does his shooting form remind you of Tommy a little bit?

Looks like he can get above the rim pretty well too.

I see a lot of Tommy similarities. Especially on the follow thru - and squaring to the basket with face/shoulders even when on the turn/in motion.

I don't know if this is true, but this kid seems slightly thicker than Tommy based solely on that video.

I've seen crazier things happen.

His shooting stroke looks more like Steve Esterkamp than Tommy. Love that floater from the foul line in, too.

haha.. Pretty sure he's got different color eyes as well... Clearly not Tommy.

My comment was more directed towards his style of play than at his looks. This kid's style didn't remind me all that much of Tommy.. He seemed to favor driving more than Tommy and was a little more capable in that aspect of his game due to his size. That's not a knock on Tommy, either. I just did not think of Tommy watching that video.

This guy looks pretty versatile. 3 ball, dribble drive, breakaway dunks, pull up jumpers... As far as small forward goes, unless we are on a guy like Vince Edwards, either one of these three guys that we are on for SF would do well... Thomas, Aldridge or the guy from Louisville, Martin... I think I prefer Thomas out of that group* just because he isn't a PF in high school moving to SF, it looks like he is already a SF/SG.
But, if we can land Gavin and Aldridge together... That might be too hard to pass up...

*(Not that I know a d*&n thing about judging recruits.)
