One of the top players in his class nationally, ranked the #4 point guard by Future150.com, top incoming soph point guard in OH. Dad Jerry is former coach at Pick Central and played at Ohio State. Needless to say, a very long shot. Maybe this is exactly the type of recruit Saul sees us landing after a couple more years of continued success. Gonzaga didn't do it overnight nor did VCU. In our matrix of players we recruit, add a few long shots and see if every once in a while we don't land a potential game changer. In the past, we've had our fair share and the #20 pick in the NBA draft reminds us it is possible (if the coach doesn't leave). Future150.com ranks him as the 2nd best sophomore PG nationally, and the 15th best player in his class overall... The offers are only beginning for this young man, and I look forward to watching him here in Cbus over the next few seasons. Many power conference schools rarely offer kids before they are juniors. He'll have many to choose from over the next couple years... Not sure how many times I've had the look on my face that Tom Hanks had in League of Their Own when he was doing everything in his power to not rip into one of his players.
