Hey everyone! I wanted to open an ideas thread up to take ideas for what we can do to make the O-Zone better. Me and my board are starting to look for other ways to get students engaged other than just free stuff - I think we need to find ways to get a consistent atmosphere to keep driving students back - OU hockey seems to be using this formula really well and I think we can start there. A perks system would be great as well - early entry or even get to attend a basketball practice or something similar.

I know you're on Reddit, so I'd recommend also posting the collegebasketball sub. I'd like to offer advice but I wonder if I'm out of touch now. Clearly define whatever problems or needs improvement areas you perceive (is it people showing up to the section but not engaged in organized cheering? Too many people sitting? etc)

Problem has to do with non engagement. Students do show but it's 50/50. Usually we try and persuade more passionate students to join our group we usually organize near the band. I thought we did do pretty solid against Fiami. We are yelling and trying to start chants but sometimes it seems that others don't seem to want to take part. I think we need to have a memorable chant other than "WT/LT" that we can use in game. Me and my board members have introduced a new chant for offensive possessions (*clap* *clap* O-U) but we think it's a bit lackluster in the times we have used it.

How about brining back that old standard from bac in my day:

"Rip 'em up, Tear 'em, Give 'em Hell, OHIO!"
