Mr. Tim Albin needs to go due to his fact of choking every time the moneys on the line in big games. He calls awful games anytime Ohio has to play a bigger school and goes really conservative and gives the players zero chance to succeed and make those upsets. MARK MY WORDS TIM ALBIN COSTED OHIO FOOTBALL THE 06 BOWL GAME AND MAC C-SHIP GAME, AND THE C-SHIP GAME AND BOWL GAME IN 09.  Tim is only good at calling plays against Wofford and Tennessee Martin it’s time for a change and if we ever want to win a big game we need to get rid of that  QUITTER we call OUR OFFENSIVE CORDINATOR!!!!!!!!!!!

So you are saying that losing the Bowl to Southern Miss, and the two beatdowns from Central in the MACC were all Albin's fault?  had nothing to do with them having superior teams?  So if Tim "cost us" those games then you are saying without Tim Albin we would be undefeated in the Frank Solich era.....Because if we should have won those games than we shouldn't have ever lost a game....Dude you are clueless!

Have you ever noticed how poorly the offense plays in any big game and how the play calling changes and we become so conservative. Albin gets out coached every time, Ohio always has big first halves then the D adjusts at halftime and Tim doesnt adjust and we get stuffed time and time again in the second half. The guy is afraid to take the program to the next level. Hes a quitter face it and yes ALBIN HAS COSTED THIS PROGRAM EVERY BIG GAME WE HAVE LOST 06 (BOWL, C-SHIP) 09 (BOWL, C-SHIP) take a look back and observe. Also wait til this bowl game we play in Albin will get out coached and point the finger at the players for not executing like he always does. He has no spine or no manhood, MAN UP TIM AND GET OUT OF TOWN you deserve no respect for screwing over the fans players and everyone else associated with the program.

I disagree.  If we didn't have our current OC at all do we win as many games as we did to even be in a position to lose those bowl/championship games? Probably not.  Do you have a better, affordable, willing to come to Ohio OC in mind? Considering the not very awesome QBs, unreliable O-line, injuries, and lack of playmakers at WR and HB we had an above average season.  You can only do so much with what is available to you.

ML, you do make some good points. I have a question for the board, Where the heck was OUr jet-sweep play with 2 threats to throw and catch? I didn't witness OUr best players, or their skills being utilized at all. We just kept playing to kant's strength by unsuccessfully running the ball up the middle... Did we not do OUr homework? Western just destroyed this kant team. Our best option was to run right at them, with a little misdirection? That's OUr offensive genius? ........ rather that genius is offensive. It's time for a change...

I do believe the OL was our best chance to win this game.  At seasons end they won all those games and were the reason Ohio was leading the country in red zone production.  Were we going against Kent's strength, yes, but with our strength.  In big games it comes to that.  Credit Kent.

Well stated, JCW. And so that T-Rodge can start the day revisiting his breakfast, I'll add Kent to the list of "superior teams" that handed us our heads. Forget the 5-7 record -- and definitely forget the score at WMU last week. Be glad we had EMU instead of WMU on our schedule.

New Rule- If you're going to cry for someone to be fired EVERY TIME we lose a game, you have to cry for that person to get something special every time we win one. Where's the "ZOMG we beat Temple by only completing 4 passes, someone needs to buy Tim Albin a new Mercedes." thread?

We came out flat, that's more Solich's fault than any of the play calling. Albin didn't call for Boo to fumble in the end zone or throw up a freebie instead of taking a sack. There's enough blame to go around to all of the coaches and players, but contrary to popular belief the sky is NOT falling.

these types of over reacting threads or just embarrassing.

Yeah Boo fumbled the ball and threw the pick.....why wasn't the pocket moving...the OL wasn't blocking for SH$$...move the damn pocket people.....why are you throwing from the 2 yard line...bad bad play calling....why run up the middle all day when it wasn't working for the first half of the day...

The game play looked no where the same as the temple or Miami game???? what happened...not talking about the execusion of play...but rather the actual plays that were called....

dd63, I'm thinking the wind and temp may have limited some plays. And field position dictated some. OUr options working from the endzone were kind of limited given that Kent really dominated the middle, and sweeps in the endzone frequently end in the endzone as safeties (which, in retrospect, might have been a good thing).

It's easy to call it a "blown assignment" when a opponent comes through the middle and blocks a FG or busts through and causes a fumble ... and a great play when one of OUr guys does something similar.

Reflecting on the game, I think the blocked FG and the "pooch punt" that put us on the 1-yard line were the defining plays of the day.

For all you non believers just wait until the bowl game and watch how albin will get out coached like he always does in every big game. Now that its been brought to all your attention watch the bowl game well play well in the beginning and fold and not react to there changes. For all of you protecting Tim Albin that is a shame that man has costed us so much, ask any player who has been through that system they will tell you just what I told you. The man panics and folds under pressure theres a reason whys hes been at Ohio this whole time, its because no one else wants him. The proof is in the pooding the guy has to go...ask any player because the people who havent played for him will never get it

Mac, I don't understand you. Your sig line is "IN FRANK WE TRUST." Then you want to dictate who he should have on his staff????? Ohio really has come a long way when a loss after seven wins is cause to throw coaches under the bus. I am very sorry the football team disappointed you so much, however, given where Ohio has been, there needs to be parades for 8-4 teams/coaches, not panic. Still work to be done, yet, there was obvious improvement this year, sorry you can't see it.

Plenty of people barking up the wrong trees here. Not saying that the play-calling is acceptable, or that all of the coaches should stay, but ...

Actually, in the Pizza Bowl Marshall game, Ohio stunk in the first half and then rebounded, but it was too little, too late. I don't think the first half against Southern Mississippi was good either or that it got much better in the second half.

Are you familiar with the phrase "finish the job"?

True, but this is simply what Boo does. He fumbles and throws interceptions, and he has little experience playing in cold weather. Why are we seemingly incapable of recruiting a good, smart quarterback from the Rust Belt with a live, accurate arm and offensive linemen who'll consistently give the QB more than two seconds to act? Who identifies problematic trends with the offense and corrects them? Which coach is responsible for that? The candidates are Solich, Albin and Gdowski. Will Derek Roback be the answer to the QB problem?

Putnam...I agree and have said it often on this board!  Why can't we recruit a QB from Ohio.  As i recall Nicely and Dysert were two on the board but we lost out on both.  i just don't understand how in 6 years we couldn't have one QB who has been on the staff for his entire 4/5 years.  I suppose TT will make that but will he ever see the field?  does he have ALL the tools necessary?

Never said that I didnt trust Frank I just have a problem with the offensive play calling but its ok you guys will see once things fall in place. I think with the talent that has been put in place in athens is great Frank and his staff are building one heck of a team and future is so bright

I've never been a big Albin supporter but after Boo came back and was healthy and we had the pass/run attack with Bates I thought he did a pretty good job with play calling this year. there were some exceptions but its easy to criticize.

What big game has Ohio had the better team in?  Southern Miss?  NOPE Central? NOPE, Marshall (Bowl)? NOPE, OSU?  NOPE, Tennessee? NOPE,  VT? NOPE......I am missing your point here sunshine!  As for Kent, we are 3-3 against Kent under Frank, this seems to be a bad matchup as our strength plays to theirs and we have not been the better team a few of those times.
