Just a few names I've noticed that have been removed. Some names were grads that were previously on the 2025 roster but have since been removed.

WR - Hunter Thompson
S - Dustin Johnson
RB - Nolan McCormick
QB - Callum Wither
OL - Kaden Rodgers
DE - Ben McNaboe

DE has a lot of people though. I'm looking at guys like Walter Bob, Sinn Brennan, Anas Luqman, Evan Hermann to step up and step in. I count eight guys who have been in college football for two years at least.

Need one more rotational DT. Cam Rice coming back is enormous. Wasn't counting on that. He and Henderson will be a nice starting duo inside. Dukes and Hale are unproven. Need another option in there. Can Keuchler bulk up?

Cam Rice is all MAC in my mind,

Henderson and maybe Keuchler will plug up the middle.

The DEs from Vandy and Arkansas State are gonna wreck havoc on other team QBs.

Keuchler is a big boy. I remember watching the end of the MAC championship and was like who is that dude? Had to look it up but it was Keuchler.

Random thOUghts on the roster
Not sure if this is the complete Spring roster but there are a few what appears to be early enrollees. Certainly some areas of strength but obviously we aren't sure of injury return etc.
CB--Pearson, Mack, Kemeni, Mathis, Mundy and hopefully Bannister coming back from injury. Plenty to like here.
DE and Jack--With Schmitz I assume moving to Will on a permanent basis, although if you want your best 11 on the field he gives you flexibility. If you find another inside backer he could put his hand on the ground. Either way dude is a dude. Some intriguing prospects here but not a lot of proven players. On paper Seegars, Bob, the Vandy transfer and Sinn Brennan are intriguing but there are some young guys who the staff brought in who may be ahead of some of these guys.
DT--An area of concern after Rice and Henderson who are fantastic BTW. Hopefully depth can be added somehow.
LB--Shay and I assume Schmitz start but Molnar was well thought of before his injury. He could contribute I really liked Jasen Kelly coming out of Whitmer and if Charlie Christopher is on campus I mean kid is... yeah. More concerned here about a LB coach. I assume that has happened or they are very close.
Safety--Adonis, DJ and Thomesom are I assume penciled in to start but there are some players here that are in the mix or will provide key depth. Jaylen Johnson, Hyatt and a couple of young but talented players. Room is in really good shape.
QB--13 is pretty good. I would wrap him in bubble wrap all spring. Maybe an autograph session or two. After that let them compete for backup roles.
RB--Sieh should be rested and ready. After that nobody proven at all. Youthful group. Plenty of talent thOUgh.
TE--Mason Williams is a hell of a player. Bruno, Seggara and AJ Miller are all capable of depth when they go 12 or use a sniffer.
WR-Plenty of experience back here but a pretty big void losing Coleman. Hendricks, Harris, Rodarte, Gossett, Pugh and Dennis with the Idaho State transfer.
OL- Wildcard. Witherspoon is nasty but does he move back to guard? Shelby and Jones saw time last year. Allen at Center? Plenty to find out in the spring with this group. Allen Rudolph was a really good X's and O's guy. New coach will be interesting to see what he does. Hopefully they are healthy and skimming the portal. I always think they should be adding more height but what do I know?
Specialists--New faces all over.

McNaboe is a big loss, but wasn't he a 6th year or so grad student?

The Missile from Mississauga.. the writing has been on the wall for years. Winters is listed as a RS Sophomore. Albin and Scott always had high praise for him, but we really haven't seen him whatsoever. Somewhat surprised he's back as well, but I'd love to see him assert himself as the #2, but I doubt it with Poulos back. Not sure we have our 2026 QB on the roster - unless its HYPE.

Brune didn't redshirt last season? Listed as a soph.

Still no Heidecker.

Brune played in more than 4. He would be a sophomore. I agree the QB isn't on the roster for 2026 but realistically doesn't have to be.
The Jack LB spot will be a mystery until spring starts.

I didn’t even notice, but he played in 6 games. 4 games he had 4 or less carries. I don’t know that I believe in redshirting folks much anymore, but that’s a tough one.

Atleast he’s got some experience and will likely get some good experience behind Sieh.

I’m not as worried about LB. We always seem to find someone ready to step-up. Would be nice to insert another Leake. I’m interested to see how Shawn Crable’s son develops this year. I saw him few weeks ago and he was noticeably bigger. He played QB/WR/DB at Hoban. Came here around 200 pounds. Should really have some speed off the edge.
