Desperately need this win...really could use a big blowout win w/ some big plays on both sides of the ball.  I think that would relax the players a bit and get some of their confidence back.  Go Bobcats!

What would Charles Barkley do?

Any injury updates or interesting notes from the press conference yesterday?  Arkley usually tweets about this, but didn't this time except for Frank's insights on Wendy's cheese which I personally think are spot-on.  Wendy's does a lot of things well but cheese is not one of them.

Can someone tell me what is the meaning of "Wendy's has bad cheese" in coach speak?  That one is not in my Coach-speak to English dictionary.

Frank said there is an "outside chance" Leftwich could return this week. Jones and Huynh will not play.

It is hard to believe, no matter how bad Akron is, that we would be a 14 point favorite @ Akron this Staurday.
We are all well aware of the need for a victory this weekend.
In watching the coaches news conference you could tell by the way he was sitting that he is not confident that this team is able to get over the past and more improtantly correct those areas of our play, needed to return to the form we displayed during our 1st few games.
Frank needs to use something like that video he put together before the Marshall game on the new uniforms to help pump up these guys.
I don't know about you all but if we are so depleted on the D, I can't understand why we wouldn't give some freshman an opportunity. If it's all about the red-shirting issue we have 4 more years of recruiting to replace them.
Or is it simply that the coaches don't have the confidence that any could step up and do a good job?
More importantly I am concerned about our special teams. We were considered by many to have the best special teams in the conference and we have yet to see them play up to their billing.
If our special teams played better and our O continues to play as they have we probably would have won both the Buffalo & Ball State games. We need at least 2 fazes of the game to play well for us to win games.
I really believe we need to get off to a fast start in this game to put more pressure on Akron which could lead to mistakes and more scoring for us.
We need to believe in each other and we need to gut things out when adversity strikes.
We need a confidence builder and a win @  Akron could certainly provide that for us.

Thanks.  Wish the news were better, but I'll take the no new injuries from Ball State.

I don't find it hard to believe at all. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/AKR/a...

The ONLY thing Akron has going for it is the extra week to get well and prepare.  They've been blown out by the better teams on their schedule (O$U, Temps, Cincy) and have had close losses to the weaker sisters (EMU, FIU).  If the Cats come ready to play and execute well, this shouldn't be close.

Can anyone give any tips on a Bobcat friendly place that will put the game on during a busy college fb Saturday in Cincy or N. KY area?

Thanks!

Ben
