Do the teams in the larger cities like Buffalo and maybe Toledo have big advantages compared to more isolated, smaller town schools like Ohio? Just wondering what everybody thinks. That may be true, but it may not be a direct one for one reduction because I think we may be plowing up new ground ( commercial ventures a little more than before), but we shall see. Based on the comments from the B1G Commissioner on Real Sports this month, it seems that he expects that eventually they will be paying players. If that comes to pass , it will really "plow up new ground". This is obvious. I sure hope so. Feel like it would be super weird to go through life thinking solely about how to maximize the competitiveness of Ohio University's football team. Even Tim Albin doesn't seem to care at all about that. Also, there are probably a dozen or more schools that rake in more money than they can possibly spend. All it means to them is that their bank accounts will have a little less excess. We will get by.
