WMU 2. Toledo 3. Miami 4. NIU 5. BG 6. CMU 7. Ball State 8. Ohio 9. EMU 10. Buffalo 11. Kent 12. Akron The top 4 teams are all projected to do well, but so are teams rated 8-10. The recruiting rankings aren't totally wrong, but neither are they perfect. It's always important to remember that the recruiting services put a lot more emphasis on accuracy of the 4 and 5 star players, and the upper 3 star players than they do for the lower 3 star and the 2 star players. The fans of teams like Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State are the ones that subscribe to the services, not the fans from the MAC, so they focus their efforts on the very best players. In your opinion, which in this case is inaccurate and baseless. Fans from all the conferences subscribe, schools from a conference like the SEC just have more fans compared to the MAC. As far as rankings last year, OU was probably the 4th or 5th best team in the MAC and in the bottom 100 in the nation and their recruiting reflects it. You are correct about what I meant to say. I did not mean to say that no fans at all subscribe from the MAC. I meant that the vast majority of their subscriber base is from P5 Conferences, which is why the vast majority of their coverage goes to P5 recruiting. I did a search, and here are a few random ratings Sagarin had Ohio #55 in the country, #1 in the MAC https://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/sagarin / Massey had Ohio #64 in the country, #1 in the MAC https://www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htm herosports had Ohio #61 in the country, 2d to NIU https://herosports.com/college-football/college-football-... Schools that do a lot of walkons give less. Schools that recruit a lot of JUCO players show more recruits. Schools that take a lot of transfers tend to show less because incoming transfers often don't show at all.
