Two leading scorers are guards who love getting to the FT line, and they both shoot over 90% from the stripe. Really, really, really gonna have to stop dribble penetrations tonight. They haven't really proved they can shoot from deep outside of Daugherty (5/13 on the year). The bigs are gonna have their hands full with Chase Walker (Columbus, OH kid). He's a load at 6'9" and 290.

Line started at them by 1.5 but is now Bobcats favored by 2.5

Total points is sitting at 148.5

An implied final score of 76 to 73 or 74 - ish.
Torvik has us losing 75-74 but it's still waaaaay too early for any models to not be overwhelmed by noise and pre-season biases.

Agree.

We had trouble stopping dribble penetration against JMU.

Defense, rebounding and free throws. They all travel. Need to become good at them.

Apparently Shereef is a game-time decision. Elmore starting in his place.

I swear we can’t have nice things. And of course no media to report on anything pertinent with this team.

Jason Toy said in the pre-game he was just banged up, "normal wear and tear stuff". Boals didn't seem concerned about anything long-term.

Just a minute ago, my favorite defensive play. Triple them in the lane and leave a wide open three. You gotta guard the three-point line nowadays.
And another drop down in the lane and leave the wide open three.
Horrendous defense that last minute

Fortunate to be within 3 at the half.

A one possession game. Play tougher D in the paint and pull this out.

Pav’s confidence is probably pretty low right now. Elliot seems to be oozing with it.

Are we only going to see Evans during home games?

Priortity #1 in the off-season — find a Walker-like big.

Athens Independent made an outreach and barely got a response. If fans want coverage, they need to demonstrate they can support the investment.

No Mitchell.

They haven’t missed a shot.

Down three.

As good as we can hope for.

And the Searls/The Whiz debate ends with that 20 minutes. The skip pass in the corner to Brown for the three is something we never saw the previous two years from the big off the bench. #TheUpgrade

This debate ended for me after the Ashville game, if not sooner. (Leads the team at the half with 2 assists).

Yea, I’m over here wanting us to keep feeding Searls. He’s feeling it and moving well in the paint.

Edit - I jinxed it.

All this praise is rewarded with 2 bricks at the line followed by moving pick negating Sheldon 3. The debate returns?

Searles is much more than I expected. A pleasant surprise at both ends.

Yes but the production on a ESPN+ game from Marshall recently was worse.

I was wondering how ESPN put up with that out of Marshall.
