Our dominance on the glass is being neutralized with turnovers.

Seems to now be a playing time sweepstakes between Clayton, Roderick, and Hadaway and none are taking it for keeps.

More of this please. Guess Hunter must have overslept and missed a meeting, but he made up for it. Elmore is a grown man. Did get a kick out of announcer saying “Whiznitzel”.

Onto Friday and the Zips.

What a road W!

Best Hunter/Baker game in MAC play. Jaylin was the player of the game, 19 pts, 7 rebs, 5 assists, 1 steal, and no turnovers. Miles Brown had a very Miles Brown game - stuffed the stat sheet but also had turns and fouls.

DW3 had a very ho-hum nearly double double night. Roderick was also a key and Elmore James is a straight up dude!

Guys made big shots when we needed them and we held on when NIU threw a few punches our way towards the end. Felt great about this W and this team tonight. 80% from the FT line, too!

GO OHIO!

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

I commented last game that it seems Hunter & Miles never seem to be on at the same time but tonight was pretty close to that. Miles had a lot of turnovers for him, but when that shot is on it is pretty.

Anyone know what Jaylin did to piss off Boals?

I know everyone is tired of talking about it, but I still have to say I really hate that coach is back to doing the direct subs only with DW & Wiz. I still really struggle to understand why we can't have Clayton & Roderick in, or Hadaway. Wiz & Boals is beginning to feel like Saul & Teyvion. We had to be at least +20 with DW on the floor tonight, meaning Wiz was probably about -14.

Thought Roderick had a good night, and had 1-2 more physics defying rattle out shots. He can be a sneaky effective player in the paint. Clayton just 5 minutes. I continue to not understand it...I just think he is better than that.

Just a massive win. We've got a chance to really shake up some excitement and momentum Friday. But even with a loss, I think we still sit poised to get in that 5-7 seed range. Had we lost tonight I would've started to worry missing Cleveland was a real possibility.

Jaylin keeps rolling; no idea why he didn’t start, but it must have been minimal since he was subbed in right away. Favorite stats of his - 0 turnovers and 5 assists.

We talked about this in the Miami thread, I’m more convinced now than yesterday that there’s a disconnect between Clayton and staff. He has to be doing (or not doing) something that’s leading to significantly less playing time. I still think it has to do with his perimeter aspirations. I mean, we actually saw Hadaway for the first time last night (just a minute less) since the CMU game.

Doesn’t answer the Wiz question, but Clayton seems like he’s being phased out until….? Great win overall.

Did anyone catch the announcer early on saying that Boals is so great because he can recruit diamonds in the rough and develop them like Preston. He went on for about 5 minutes talking about Boals' recruiting of Preston. I liked these 2 guys, they were entertaining and into the game for both sides but man were they slightly ill-prepared!

Are you the only BA poster who didn't know that Jeff called Saul and said, "Get this Preston project so that I can have him on the Bobcats when I take over your job."???

However, who is the next diamond?
