As someone with two tickets to Friday's game, one thing worse than going in knowing that Kelly (and Elliott) are not available is going in NOT knowing whether they are available. With Kelly, I still don't think we win, but I at least go in believing we can give it our best shot because we are at *full strength. If we play at the same level as the best we've played this year (Bonaventure, either Buffalo game, Marshall) and Miami plays at the same level as the worst they've played (overtime at UNC-Asheville), we blow them away.

*I only remember one Elijah Elliott play this year (blocking a dunk at CMU). With or without him, we are kinda at full strength.

This isn't a media issue. Coaches generally don't share injury details even when asked.

I do wish, however, that a media member would ask him about the multiple player/coach behavior issues during postgame handshakes. Somebody needs to be called out and punished.

I get that. But there isn’t even anyone to ask the simple question…”Coach…will JJ Kelly be available for Miami?” It’s up to Boals to decide how he wants to answer that question. But he never even has to worry about getting the question.

Can you imagine Bill Self not getting one question about Darryn Peterson and his availability every game? And I’m not comparing these situations, but you know what I mean.

Boals never has to address anything about the program in the media…ever.
