I helped sidetrack another thread with some NIL questions - so setting it up here

So let's get some clarity here - there is the Ohio NIL Exchange -- https://app.inflcr.com/exchange/ohio-university - (Billy is this the entity you are referring to when you reference "the collective" ?) -- who oversees this? where do the funds come from? who decides which athletes get funds?

There is also the NIL Sports Collective (the "1804" website - https://1804sportcollective.com ) that is a "fan-driven and alumni-led Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) program for Ohio University" that is part of a consortium of "fan-driven and alumni-led Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) programs" created and managed by Blueprint Sports, a for profit business set-up in response to the emergence of NIL - https://www.blueprintsports.com - same questions as above -- who oversees this (the 1804 program)? where do the funds come from? who decides which athletes get funds?

And then the "connection" questions - do the two entities above (the "Exchange" and "1804") work in unison? is there coordination? if so, how? if not why not? Does "1804" give their dollars to the "Exchange" Are there other groups in or trying to get in on the process?

I'm sure there are more questions and better clarity - but that's a start.
The Ohio nil exchange is for businesses and individuals to hire student-athletes. the athletic department runs it.

The 1804 collective is managed by donors. The CEO works with coaches to who gets the money, and then the collective finds work for the athletes so they can collect the money. These are going to go away next year I believe when they can pay athletes directly.

I know the discussion is football focused on the 1804 Sport Collective side, but there is a basketball tab on their website. Is it just that no one is fundraising for basketball?

Without full transparency from these "collectives" and with the amount of disorganization that appears to be involved, it's hard not to feel like some of this could be quite a money gimmick. I'd wonder about any "administrative fees" involved by whoever is running all of this, if you get my drift.

He's been incredibly generous. He hates the AD and advocates for coaches firing. Hard to get on board when it seems like he's working against us.

What proof do you have that he hates the AD? And which coach does he want fired? He only supports football, so...

There is no administrative fees, as SBH states, these are dedicated and career folks to our OHIO.

LOL, because I personally know both people. Collectively and individually. I’ve written checks to both folks on different occasions for different things. I’ve had a cold pop with both, but on different occasions and in different states at different times.
