Former Bobcat S&C coach Jake Miller, who followed Albin to Charlotte, was let go today.
Often the first sign of a sinking ship is to fire assistants and blame them for the team's woes. Sometimes this buys the head coach a little time, but sometimes it's the beginning of the end for head coach's tenure. We'll have to wait and see what transpires at UNCC.

I don’t imagine things are going to get better for Charlotte in the AAC with JMU joining.
After reading this and Trevor's comments above I'm still baffled that the American even let Charlotte join the conference. I know their conference member targets (other than the military) are focused on big cities. Big cities = better recruits and more money, for the most part.

But man Charlotte was nowhere near what this conference should have been taking on. They weren't even close to ready. They have a standard for how much their teams should be spending on football and I gotta think that Charlotte isn't even close to that number.

Wouldn't be shocked to see them kick Charlotte out, actually. There isn't much precedent for that other than the Big East bagging Temple, but I could see it happen here.
Never should have left the C-USA

There were a mess when they hired Albin and don't have the finances to pull themselves out of it. There's a lot of good football guys on that staff. It's a shame.

According the Brett McMurphy Charlotte could be moving down to the Sun Belt.
