Will the past scandals of so-called "Liberty" limit their options?

In March 2024, the U.S. Department of Education fined "Liberty" a record $14 million under the Clery Act.

"Liberty" faced major public scrutiny and legal fallout culminating in the August 2020 resignation of its longtime president, Jerry Falwell Jr., amid a sex and extortion scandal involving his wife, Becki Falwell, and former business partner Giancarlo Granda.

An investigation covering 2016 to 2023 found that the "school" repeatedly misclassified or failed to disclose campus crimes, including reports of rape and fondling, and improperly dismissed sexual assault allegations.
