Poulus got hit, and the guy that hit him was ejected for targeting. Vezza got hit out of bounds, and the guy that hit him earned a personal foul. There's nothing like a good, clean hit, and those hits were nothing like a good, clean hit.

Ugly game or not, finding a way to win and defending the Frank is huge. Levi needs to play more. He adds that extra headache for a defensive coordinator. Also, huge game for Hamilton. A lot to get better at but a win is a win.

Man, what a program this has become! Winning ugly like that is only possible with a real infrastructure and culture in place.

Theres plenty to clean up (the defense simply cannot look like that in any MAC game) and the injuries are concerning. But I’m gonna choose to bask in the glow of this one for awhile.

We lost 4 of the worst players we could possibly lose, got outgained by 185 yards, surrendered some weird fluke plays, had 2 or our own field goals blocked, and gained, I think, 2 yards of net offense in 4 overtimes, and won the game. The math ain't mathin'

Happy we won. My guess is two concussed QB's are not playing next week. We'll have to find a way to win with a true freshman QB. Peden provided miracles lately. This is going to be a difficult road win.

I guess its good we had a competitive QB battle in the fall for times like this.
