Update: Aug 14
From an Ohio Alumni who lives in Lincoln and works for the Huskers.
The best way to get tickets is through the Ohio allotment. SeatGeek is the secondary market.
The visitor section at Nebraska is lower part of section 19, is the team block. The next section is the upper part of section 20 and 21.
Hotels: Many hotels are probably full at this point, and you may need to stay in Omaha or look 20+ min outside of Lincoln.
Parking: Single-game accessible parking is available on campus on a first-come, first-served basis. Donor lots 9 and 12 have limited spaces reserved for those with state-issued handicapped vehicle/parking permits or license plates. Additional accessible parking is available at 14th & U Streets (east of Morrill Hall, 14th & W Streets) and the Lot 9 parking garage (14th & Avery Ave.), for $25 per game. Lot 9 is the primary accessible parking option for our fans.
Free public parking for the disabled is available at meter spots on 14th and Vine on a first-come, first-served basis.
StarTran Bus
Fans are encouraged to use the convenient game-day shuttle service through StarTran. Shuttle service to the stadium begins two (2) hours before kickoff, with the last bus leaving the lots 45 minutes before kickoff. The stadium unloading and loading location is on ‘R’ Street, between 12th and 14th. Buses return to the lots immediately after the game.
Riders will be able to board the bus for the return trip after the start of the 4th quarter; however, buses will not return to the lots until they are fully loaded.
The pick-up and drop-off points will be:
• Northwest High School (49th and Holdrege St.)
• South Pointe (27th and Pine Lake Rd.)
• North Star High School (Six blocks east of North 27th and Folkways Blvd.)
• Gateway Shopping Center (66th and O Street)
Things to do:
The Haymarket area has a lot of bars, shops, and restaurants. Making reservations in advance will help a lot.
https://downtownlincoln.org/haymarket Berry’s - the Nebraska bar - is a Friday night and a game day hangout; they have a huge outdoor TV which will probably have the Husker VB match on Friday night before and show CFB games on Saturdays. The pep band will play on Friday nights at Misty's in Havelock: 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Zipline Tap and Grill: 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM, Barry's Bar & Grill: 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. They will play Stand Up and Cheer if they see you. The entire band will play it at the game on Saturday, pregame, before the anthem and flyover.
The railyard becomes the main pregame tailgate party on game days.
The flagship Husker team shop is in the student union; they will also have trailers and stands outside and inside the stadium. The student union quad is where the students tailgate. There are fast food restaurants and public bathrooms in the student union.
Places to Eat:
Runza and getting the famous runza sandwich, cheeseburgers, and their ranch and onion dip. The original runza sandwich is made and served at the stadium on game day.
Valentino's Pizza, which is also made and served at the stadium.
Any of the Haymarket offerings include multiple sushi restaurants, a few sports bars, a lot of international offerings, and Lazlo's Brewery & Grill, which is highly recommended. I also recommend making a reservation in advance, or you could be waiting up to an hour for walk-ins on Friday night and on gameday postgame.
