I only came here to complain about the least important aspect of this game. Albin's hat is beyond awful. I thought what he wore last year was bad, but man. Then again, our branding efforts in general are not great.
Also, are we gonna continue running back kickoffs from four yards deep in the end zone and almost never make it out to the 20 yard line? Apparently so.
P.S. Doesn't anyone use the chat function anymore?

If he's healthy, he should play. Frankly if he's 80%, he should play as long as there is not an increased risk of re-injury.
HUUUUHHHHHH

If he's 80%.... wouldn't that mean he isn't fully healthy... and thus could be a risk of further injury.

He's not a plow horse. He's got higher ambitions outside of winning an August game vs San Diego. That I can promise you.
Not true. 80% meaning 80% ready. Maybe arm strength or running speed not 100% back yet. Athletes are often fully recovered from injury but only partially or mostly game-speed ready. If he can't move and is just a sitting duck back there and our O-Line isn't ready to protect him adequately, of course we hold him out.
He's better than 80%
Rourke sacked hard, now laying on the field.

CJ warming up on the sidelines.

Everything I feared. Rourke getting hit hard. Ref letting them play. Now he's in the medical tent while CJ throws an INT on his first pass.

The good news is that Ohio is once again solid at PK, and the defense is off to a much better start than last year.

Could be. He wasn't limping when he ran off the field. His head didn't seem to hit too hard either. Might be just a precaution based on just coming off a major injury.

Harris is absolutely putrid.

It was just a matter of time. For him and SDSU.

Anyone listening to Russell? Has he said anything about the injury to Rourke.

Their QB and offensive line is not very good - that helps too.

Due we use the 3rd QB?
Losing the turnover battle is not in our best interest.
Why isn't Harris running more, that was his strongest suit.
We must come out in the 3rd quarter and get that touchdown back.

Anybody know why the pass that hit the ref in the face wasn't intentional grounding? Refs are supposed to be part of the playing field so throwing the ball into the ref's face while under duress should be grounding. No receivers were in the area.

Once again, our KO return team costs us field position and may four pts. The KO after their FG was run back to the 18 instead of taking a touchback to the 25. We could've used those seven yds at the other end of the fiel instead of kicking a FG from their 2.

CJ hasn't looked awful. He's just made two awful decisions. Some really good Ohio QBs have done the same thing (T2 at MFOFO in 20212, e.g.). I was thinking he should get the bulk of the snaps next week to give Kurtis a rest, but now he might get them out of necessity.

We need to use our size advantage on the O line to run the ball down SUDSU's throat.

No impressed with announcers.

We will get by.

- They missed three calls alone in that sequence, so not surprised the ref who got in the face didn't see the grounding.

- Not impressed with Wilburn. And then he coughed it up. Luckily they called him down on his head.

- CJ throws an INT on 25% of his passes in the 1st half. That's beyond awful. He's missed Wiglusz wide open at least three times, including in the endzone. He holds this team back in every aspect of what we do best. On his last scramble he tip-toed out of bounds 3 yards short. He didn't reach for it. Zero effort. You can be bad - but you better reach for the extra yards.

- Announcers are probably a Mountain West crew. If they're not - holy smokes.

- Albin probably won't pull the plug on CJ, but Navarro and/or Winters should be up throwing. We're not gonna win a kicking contest.

- Still no word on Rourke?

The only way the Cats are going to win this game is with a defensive touchdown.
