Ohio stops EMU again, this time with an interception! Earlier in the game Ohio forced a turnover on downs when EMU was deep in Ohio's end. EMU's defense has still not stopped an Ohio drive or force a punt. The are getting ripped apart defensively.

Ohio can't be stopped and EMU can't get going! Ohio had 4 drives in the half and all of them resulted in a score. EMU has looked puzzled on how to try and navigate vs the Ohio defense. Bobcats have totally outplayed them. Just as I said they would.

Can I nominate OhioBobcat as Ohio's #1 football fan?

Don't know if it means much, but the visiting team has won the last three meetings -- Ohio at Ypsilanti in 2013 and 2017 and EMU at Peden in 2016.

It’s looking like it means much.

BIG, BIG sack on 3rd down. Put them out of field goal range.

Ohio hasn't lost here in over 20 years. Sure they don't play here that often, but this is still Ohio vs EMU.

Once again, Ohio also owns this series having won 10 of the last 12 meetings, including the last 4 in Ypsilanti, and hasn't lost there in 22 years (not since 1999). Some things never change. I expect another Ohio win!

This isn't the same EMU or Ohio.

Meaning what? You were expecting a different result?

Where has McCrory been all year. Had high expectations of him after his performance in Ohio's bowl game following the 2019 season. Haven't seen or heard his name much until 4th qtr sack.

Ohio could be playing the '72 Miami Dolphins and you'd expect a win. Some things never change, indeed.

So what kind of "hot BS" do you want to spread now? Did Ohio not win by enough tonight for your liking?

Ummm, game's not over yet. Good punt and solid defense needed. No breakdowns or brain farts.

Could have closed the show with a couple more first downs by Rogers and a FG but now still a game.

Let’s all celebrate not having to watch a game on that pewter turf for another two years!

I can rest assured I’m not actually colorblind.

OhioBobcat would’ve declared us MAC champions at halftime against Northern Illinois in Detroit.

I've been saying it all season long despite the record. Do not doubt this team. Ever. No one wants to play this team in the MAC and we're all seeing why, and it's been that way for years.

Nice win guys! We can win close games all of a sudden. I am amazed that the guys are still fighting hard. Shows a lot of character on their part.

Good win. For the second week in a row we never trailed. But once again the defense made it way too uncomfortable at the end -- a 62-yd drive in 2:36 for a TD with EMU out of timeouts. The "prevent victory" defense really makes for tense moments down the stretch. I've gotten to a point where, no matter how big our lead, I don't believe we'll win until the 4th quarter clock is all zeros and we're ahead.

So we're back to .500 for the first time in a month. That blown 21-pt lead vs Buffalo really looms large in the "what might've been" universe.

We will get by.
We will get by.
We will get by.
We will survive.

The "nobody wants to play Ohio" mantra, always a good laugh on the basketball board of BA, has now shifted to the football sides of things. Another good laugh to start this Wednesday morning.
