UNLV has inked a 5-year $11M deal with Acesso Biologics to place branding patches on all it's athletic uniforms.

The NCAA is set to vote on allowing them - and others - to ink sponsorship deals allowing schools to wear brand patches on their jerseys.

I think the Quidel-Ortho Bobcats are a real possibility if the new AD plays his cards right. Largest private employer in Athens.

Just another way for alums with deep pockets to funnel money to big programs and get your name on the actual product. Little extra cache' back home.

Not saying I didn't expect it eventually, but I was even taken aback when the NBA started doing it.

The need to commercialize every aspect has shifted into insane overdrive. We're about to have college uniforms looking like NASCAR suits.
