Ohio (3-0) took the lead for good on a Gavin Block three-point play with 6:14 remaining, and Simmons scored a layup to make it a five-point game, 57-52.

After a Lammers dunk, Campbell scored a layup and Simmons hit a shot to give Ohio its biggest lead, 61-54. Georgia Tech got back within a possession on two free throws by Quinton Stephens and another Lammers dunk, but Campbell hit a pair at the foul line with 2:06 remaining.

Neither team scored again until a Simmons free throw made it 64-58 with 33 seconds left. Block added a free throw 15 seconds later.

The Bobcats won despite a 7-of-16 free-throw performance, and Campbell dominated by going 10-of-17 from the field despite being in foul trouble.

Georgia Tech led by as many as seven points in the first half and had 32-27 halftime lead. They held the lead until a Kaminski 3-pointer tied it at 46 with 11:26 remaining. Another Kaminski trey put Ohio on top by three, and it went up 52-48 on a Campbell 3-pointer midway through the second half.

Back-to-back Yellow Jackets baskets tied the game one more time before Block put the Bobcats up for the remainder of the game.

Ohio used a 9-1 run to turn a three-point deficit into a five-point lead, capped by a Campbell tip-in at the 6:40 mark, making it 22-17. But Georgia Tech came back with a 13-1 spurt, going up 30-23 on a Jackson 3-pointer.
