There are so many sad analogies that go with this season; the MAC basement would be ultimate depressing stat. It might be the first time since the regrettable Coach Billy Hahn era that we were suppose to finish toward the top of the standings and ended up on the bottom. You could almost hear the exasperation in Coach Phillips' voice in his post game interview. You can see the frustration coming out of or Bobcat Attack board, in those who comment and those posters who seem to have disappeared into the mists of Bobcat Attack History. I hope someday soon this Dark Ages of Bobcat basketball will be just a passing bad memory and we will soon have much to celebrate. I am usually the glass is mostly full type of guy. However, right now it seems things are closing in on the program.

i expected a top 1/4 MAC team, boy was i wrong.

the plain truth is that our squad lacks shooting ability, athleticism, food speed, interior size and ball handling skills compared to its peer group...much less bigger programs.

Ha...I think that about covers the state of Ohio basketball under the current leadership.

Some of it is the MAC got better while Ohio stayed in place.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

the message is clear we are the 18/19 version of the 1998 team. at this point some power high school team like Dayton dunbar or materdai from cali could beat this team. I,m confident this team won,t win another game this season.

I always love when someone makes a totally uninformed statement that a High School team could make a run at a college team or a college team could make a run at a bad pro team. Makes the poster look really amateur and uninformed. In the end it is a irrational thought. And don't come back at me with some informed opinion because you won't find any discussion forthcoming. Just not worth debating. Move on.

24 spots behind California Baptist in net rankings. 200th in ranking. We likely finish dead last in mac at 3-15. We got a tough schedule left and a team that lost its fight weeks ago.

I'm still confident Saul could beat a 4-13 Dayton Dunbar team.

At this point I think this is the least interesting team since I started following Ohio basketball IMO. There just isn't anything to hang your hat on. Saul's first year was just as hard to watch but we had the hope that his recruiting class and Bean leaving would improve things (and it did). This year I think I'm sighing or yelling at the screen on almost every offensive possession. Now I'm just hoping we don't lose certain players after this year.

I wish I could count how many times where I just blanky stare at the screen and say to myself "WTF was that...that's not basketball."

At this point I want to see progress. Show me some things to look forward to for the guys that will be back on the team next year.

The worst part is when they actually string together a great possession, moving, reversing the ball, being unselfish, not turning it over...and then miss a three footer without a defender within three feet. And they do it about five times per game.

That makes me more angry than the 10 times they throw the ball straight into the sideline. Which is hard to do.

Between the Cavaliers and Bobcats, I've watched enough bad basketball to last me a lifetime. And the Cavs have incentive to suck. There's no Zion Williamson to be had for the Bobcats.
