On a positive note, Belmont is now up to 45 in the Sagarin Ratings, which means we now show as 1-2 vs the Top 50 which feels pretty solid!

Outside of LSU, Kentucky, Belmont, CSU and Marshall our OOC opponents might not manage to win 10 games combined the rest of the season.

One point game with 3 minutes left. Looking at their schedule, they’re 8-3, but all 8 of their wins have come at home. This is just their 3rd road game of the year. (@ BYU & @ Oklahoma State)

CSU holds on to win. I'm impressed CSU is able to play a mostly home OOC schedule like that similar to Ohio. Most of the MAC plays more road games than that

They came back from a 12 point deficit to win at Youngstown state today. The CSU win keeps looking better for the bobcats.

CSU hosts Oakland tomorrow. This is close to a must win if they are going to repeat as Horizon League champions.

UK hot out of the gate and playing at a high level. Barnes kids have their hands in passing lanes and really set hard screens. WIth the 3s and the offense that is the only reason UT is still in the game as well as Kentucky is playing. Barnes is subtle but his teams is solid. UK finally getting their collective act together as guys are getting healthy and bench has stepped up. Still, Brooks continues to show his stripes. Not a fan.

Kentucky over #22 Tennessee 107-79!

That makes me feel happy about our performance against Kentucky.

Belmont and LSU both lost today. We had rankings in the mid-twenties in several resume style rankings. It doesn't matter all that much if Stetson and St. Francis lose but those two are going to really sting.

Not that I felt like the odds were good for an at-large, but Belmont not running the gauntlet in OVC does sting.

I would love to see us ranked in the AP Top 25 but not sure if that'll happen. A lot of ranked teams lost yesterday so it'll be interesting to see how the AP poll turns out now.

It seems quite because LSU and Belmont lost on the same day, but they’re gonna lost a couple here and there. I try not to get too wrapped up in the day-to-day.

The MAC dropped to 18th in Sagarin today. About the lowest I've ever seen it. I think it may have been 19th many seasons ago.

Having three teams in the 300s is dragging the conference down. The bottom half of the league is pretty wretched this year.

Marshall has lost 7 straight, which started with us. What looked like at least an average win when we played them now looks much less impressive.

With the way some of these schools handle their coaching situations and love mediocrity/below average, you look at the long run and see where some of these programs are heading and there is a massive opportunity for Ohio to have a pretty remarkable 5 year run coming up. But for now, let's just beat Miami.

The bottom four teams being so poorly rated is definitely what is pulling down the league. This is not normal. I'm looking at this as a two year aberration rather than a long term trend.

USC Upstate beats Winthrop. 6 game win streak! 6-1 since they played us which I certainly wouldn't have predicted

Edit: spoke to soon they are headed to OT!

Calling winning-team/losing-team and then going to OT is just not ok. :)

And they lost in OT...

Fortunately, I was able to avoid ever committing the ultimate sin at OHIO. My apologies to jinxing USC Upstate.

Oof. Ball State playing Northern Illinois tonight at 8. Will be scouting how Ball State looks. Peyton Sparks appears to be their biggest threat on offense in my opinion, 6'9 240 lbs. Seems like he can get in the paint and do some damage there so will be interested to see how he does against NIU.

Marshall was ranking maybe #140ish when we played them. That's not all that great but they looked like an upper tier CUSA team at that point. They somehow failed to win another game after we defeated them and were 0-7 in CUSA until today when they beat first place UAB. Weird.

Woof. Robert Morris with a home loss to IUPUI. For those unaware, IUPUI had not won a D1 game until last night. They have suffered injuries on top of injuries and advertised open team tryouts to all students in the middle of the season. They have been play a six player rotation for several weeks.
