Watched the second half of this game. They missed crucial threes at the end of regulation and OT. My observation on the season is if the aren't hitting 3s they lose as they don't have a good inside game.

One of my pet peeves: officials who will not make a call in the final seconds of a game that they would make at any other time in the game. I've even heard announcers justify this as good officiating, saying garbage like, "They're just letting 'em play, which is good because they don't want to change the result of the game with a whistle." That's a rough paraphrase of stupid comments I've heard dumber-than-dirt announcers make to justify end-of-game uncalled muggins.

She has taken a beating this season. At times it feels the other team is allowed to take shots at her. She is tough!

That happens when your best distributor, shooter, and scorer are all the same person. She needs someone to be a consistent number two and that beating will lessen up.

Plan for the off-season needs to be retention, a big who can rebound but is still mobile enough to fit the system, and the aforementioned.

Regardless, taking the top team in the league in their place to the wire and losing by one is impressive. I would not feel great about facing these ladies in Cleveland if I was Ball State. Three straight heartbreakers against good opponents (well, at least the last two). This team is overdue.

Somewhat sloppy but solid road win for the ladies last night at Eastern. That secured a winning MAC record for the women. I feel like it's been a few years since we've seen that. Hope they can knock off Miami in their home finale.

Who had the women's MAC record better than the men's MAC record on their 2025/26 bingo card?

They'd have 2-3 more wins if they could take better care of the ball. Boldon has to be pulling his hair out.

Bella Ranallo was truly impressive today, and no play encapsulates that more than when she dove on the floor to get a steal and drew a foul on an inbounds play at the end of the first quarter. Miami tried rolling the ball up without touching it, in order to get farther up the court before the buzzer. But they played it too aggressively and Bella got the ball and two free throws.

Unfortunately, while sprinting ahead to score on another hustle play in transition, she suffered what looked to everyone to be a serious non-contact injury to her right knee. She knew it was bad.

The team wasn't the same afterwards and had some ball handling issues but thankfully they were already up about 20. A gut punch as they got the 5 seed and will face Central Michigan. They beat CMU up there by 2 with Bella.

One other bit of noteworthy information: senior Cassidy Lafler, who suffered a season-ending injury four minutes in the season opener, was not a participant in Senior Day festivities, as she was on the bench with the rest of her non-senior teammates. I suppose that means she'll come back next year.

With Bella, I think this team really had a shot at winning this whole damn thing. Almost winning at Ball State then dismantling Miami, they are clearly at the top of the conference right now. But assuming she is out (any info on that?) that makes things feel like a bit more of a longshot.

Incredible turnaround season for the ladies.

Women lead CMU 48-44 at half. Bobcats 8-15 from three. CMU's Darrington with 13 first-half points despite sitting most of the second quarter with two fouls.

There was a shot in the pregame package of her getting off the bus with crutches. I'd say she's done.

Superb performance from Tabeling. "I'm the captain now" kind of presence.

Really played uptight for the first half of the fourth quarter but fortunately Central didn't get up by more than three or four. Big time tying three from Moultrie seemed to lessen the weight from their shoulders.

Yes, she couldn't shake free. But the Moultrie three and then they found Tabeling in transition. And Ohio holed out from there. I guess even with a day off Ranallo is not back?

Alright ladies, a 10 am battle with Miami 6 days after we dismantled them. Should be a good one. I've never been able to figure out betting lines on women's games, sometimes they have them sometimes they don't and nothing out there for this one. We were 5.5 point underdogs last week but can't find one for today.

Well that did not go well, trounced 80-52. 4 for 29 from 3 will do it.

A great season overall for the ladies, far exceeded expectations and found several solid contributors.

Watch as much of this game as I could stomach. This team lives and dies by the 3. They have little inside presence. Need a BigWOMANZ!

The Miami offense is a thing of beauty. Cuts, back door slips, pick and pops, four or even all five players getting a touch most possessions. Pleasing basketball to watch.

Picked 10th in the preseason but finished fifth and got to semifinal Friday. Bob pointed the program back in the right direction. I hope everyone who can come back does. I think there's scholarship room for a 6'2"+ rebounder and rim defender, but there should be plenty of experience everywhere else.

She plays club ball with the WV team but she's not from WV (though many Ohioans may say her hometown of Vincent, OH is close enough to be WV).

Blossom Wallace, 2026 recruit from Pickerington Central, isn't quite 6-2, but should help OUr inside game next year. She finished with 9 pts and 8 reb Thursday as Pick Central came up short in repeating as state champs, losing by 4 in the state semifinals.
