To get serious for a moment — Golub Capital, QuidelOrtho and the aforementioned Under Armor. As well as any other company with OHIO grads in high places. Think BIG!

Not sure we could have a jersey sponsor patch for a company that makes athletic wear but isn't our supplier. If we are still Adidas jerseys, I doubt the university could have a jersey patch for either Nike or Under Armour. Seems like a conflict of interest.

Change jersey companies, Going to the highest bidder is the way of college athletics these days.

It is highly unlikely that you see an apparel company like Nike/Adidas/UA be the official jersey patch because their logo is already on all apparel. The case that might happen would be one of the major powerhouse programs getting a deal with one of those brands that throws them extra money with the stipulation that they can’t have a jersey patch. That is what Nike does with a lot of their golfers. It’s why you see so many guys on the PGA Tour that have random logos all over them but typically the Nike athletes only wear Nike.

The merchandise contracts with schools in the MAC are much more about the discounts provided to the school and credits the school gets to buy gear for their teams. You typically won’t get any real cash outright. Obviously those like Ohio State and Texas can get actual money on top of free gear because of the amount of sales that those deals drive from fans buying official gear.
