Thanks for the updates.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

Rourke had a chance when they pulled the starter in the third quarter of last week's game. Unfortunately, he got hurt soon afterward. He's been playing on short yardage and goal line situations and has been effective. With BC's offense (and season) fading, Rourke's opportunity as a starter seems like it is coming sooner rather than later.

Nathan to start for BC Friday vs Edmonton. It's the season finale and the Lions are well out of the playoff hunt, so they said "What the hell." https://www.bclions.com/2021/11/15/nathan-rourke-start-qb... /

Edmonton was playing a brutal schedule without enough time to rest and recuperate, and was a very tired team in the game as a result. But, nonetheless Nathan played very well and got to show off his skills.

Here is the full game if you are interested. Looks like he is getting the hang of things a bit.

I wonder how much, if any, attention NFL scouts pay to CFL players?

Actually heard a Carolina Panthers scout answer this question a few years ago while speaking at a Charlotte Touchdown Club luncheon. He basically said...very little, less than they do for Division II. Reasoning: they scouted most all the players when coming out of college. Very few (players) did they "miss on" and very few get significantly better.

His stats for the game were 23 of 34 passing for 359 yds, 1 TD and 2 INTS; 7 carries for 34 yds and 3 TDs.

Looks like Edmonton played at Toronto on Tuesday then again at BC on Friday last week. Maybe because of covid rescheduling? Sounds like a Bishop Sycamore schedule.

One of Rourke's two INTs was batted down at the line and then scooped up by another player before it hit the ground in the red zone so a little unfortunate.

I was watching some pre-game commentary. Edmonton had a really bad season, but actually has a good D it seems so that might speak a bit better for Rourke's good numbers against them. But, yeah Edmonton played 3 games in 7 nights they were saying. That's absolutely nuts.
