He's updated his X bio, so I will announce. The new WR coach is Danny Langsdorf, who was at Oregon State last year.

Has had extensive career coaching WRs, QBs and been an OC. Was at Temple with Chris Woods.

Albin demoted Isphording from OC and gave play-calling duties to Smith and then Smith kept calling plays as head coach even though Isphording was promoted back to OC. Is there a chance that Langdorf is co-OC and is handed the offensive play-calling duties?

Izzy has a meeting with the Bob's later.

We have hired Mattix, Crook, Conrad, and Langsdorf and only lost Smith, Thompson, and Allen. the NCAA has, or at least had, a limit to on field coaches. That's why you had a head coach and then nearly every position coach had a coordinator title or specialist title like passing game or running game or pass rush coordinator. And when moneyed programs have a bunch or extra coached they have titles like "Quality Control" and "Offensive Analyst" and aren't "On field". I have been wondering things like with Mattix specializing more on DLine over his career where we already have a coach then who will be the safeties coach and if there might be more changes. I don't expect to see Izzy let go as long as he has been here and as well as our quarterbacks have done under him but, as I have questioned a few times on the board in the past couple of months, even though I was the first to mention Mattix as a likely candidate for DC, how exactly these hires are going to be reorganized into a staff that fits together right and it seems we have one coach over the limit - if the limit is still the same. I am still a bit concerned there.

There's no limit to on-field coaches now. GAs, Analysts, Quality Control people can all be on the field. It should help development.

Nice. Our funding for staff appears to have gone up.
