If I had to give the stadium an overall grade I'd give it a B. Good enough to recommend overall and the exterior is very presentable. Why not have it as nice as what it could possibly be?

Its true Peden only has 6 games a year but 125,000 walk through the turnstiles. Basketball has what 50,000 across all games? If the goal is to motivate alumni to open their wallets it makes sense to have the stadium looking as nice as possible not to mention the football team and entire athletic department is utilizing facilities at the stadium on a daily basis.

Squaring off the tower would add 400 seats. The stadium I think would look bigger that why also. Do the same thing with a tower on the other side and that adds another 1400 seats. Another 1800 seat plus luxury boxes would take it close to another 2500 premium seats.

Interestingly I was loking at top attended game per era and also size of alumni base per year. Definitely shows the stadium can support more seats. The alumni base is still growing, projected to be about 20% larger by 2040.

I can't get behind this line of thinking. Just because you're only using it six times a year doesn't mean you can't make it better than what it currently is. So what, you don't make any upgrades and just wait till the thing becomes completely obsolete? Ohio doesn't have the funds to do major renovations without a spike in donations, but you also don't have to just sit on your hands and do nothing because "well, hell, you only use the stadium six times a year so who cares anyway, right?"

I think you start losing fans at some point that way. Especially in this day and age when a more spruced up venue is what a lot of newer fans are looking for. Us here on this board may find Peden charming in it's current state, but I don't think this board represents the feeling of an average fan or alum.
