Ohio Hockey has made the ACHA National Championship Game!!
The game is available at 7:00 on ESPN3 and is being held at the Ice Haus in Downtown Columbus (Attached to Nationwide Arena)

I know its not a "varsity" sport, but I still consider these players student athletes of Ohio University!! They are going for a 5th all time national title!

Go Bobcats!!

From my perspective, anyone who puts on the Green and White to represent O.U.,be it Varsity or Club is Student Athlete.

In the case of a Club Sport, these participants go through the practice, sacrifice etc. solely for the love of the sport.
That says something.

I watched most of the last two periods. Ohio seemed to control the action and had more shots, 43-22, but got shut out, 3-0.

I was at the game. We controlled most of the 1st period and should have had the first goal but missed curling in a shot then gave up a goal after a dumb mistake. In the 2nd we got dominated, but still only gave up a goal after another mistake. The third we controlled things and were peppering UCO but just couldn't find the net, gave up the final goal on an empty net.

Was really unfortunate we couldn't get that first goal as the place would have exploded with all the Ohio fans in attendance including students that had driven up. But after UCO scored the fans were pretty nervous it seemed and no real good coordination for cheering aside from the occasional chant.
