He's making more guaranteed money than most college grads make their first year out of college while also being college debt free. Good for him.

How much do you think his agent takes of the guarantee?

That’s a bigger bonus than some 7th rounders

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

I think that this worked out OK for him. He got some say in where he wanted to sign. He stayed in Buffalo. He got a late round size guarantee. He already has his degree. He would not have a master's if he stayed another year. Exactly how much better do you think the contract would have been next year? He gets the money and a start on his life, whatever it turns out to be, a year earlier. I'm sure he was hoping for the best and maybe a stretch 5th round pick but this really is far from a disaster. A kid with a degree doesn't have to take another year's beating on his body for nearly entirely the profit of others at that point if he doesn't want to. It depends on how much he likes being BMOC, if he thinks there is still significant improvement to be made in is stock, and if he can afford getting injured.

Are you freaking kidding me? I would take Rourke over him 10 times out of 10. I would have taken Jordan Lynch 10 times out of 10 over him. Jackson doesn't even register on my top 15 QBs of the past 20 years radar in the MAC. Give me a break. This will be a Jaaron Simmons implosion like no other.

+1

Christian Blaize Hackenberg 2.0, IMHO.

+1 (In finest Monroe Slavin style, I "plus one" myself!)

And he is a perfect Taxi Squad candidate - so he will make 6-figures doing that for a year or more.

Glad he found a position he can play. Good luck to him in his NFL career!

Not for long, unfortunately. He suffered a knee injury later in the game. I hope it's not serious.

Mainly pointing out once again other MAC Stars getting NFL Paychecks even scoring TDs. We can't seem to get many of our guys a Sniff.

Basham and Carrie seem to be more than sniffing, IMHO.
