Kelly had a solid freshman year, but he didn't make the MAC all-freshman team, has some holes in his game, and ultimately had a pretty solid year for a .500 team in a bad conference.

The folks here that thought he was going to the P5 have a pretty inflated view of what the MAC is now. The transfer portal looks for elite talent and experience. Kelly has neither. His P5 opportunity may come when he's 22, but he's got a long ways to go.

Instagram-era of college athletics. So many kids getting horrible advice from their agent uncle cousin. Everyone telling you you're bigger than the MAC. Need those likes and love from the twittersphere. I think he himself had a pretty inflated view of what his game is now. All I need to do is prove I can play D1 and then all these teams will be beating down my door!

I can't remember where I wrote it at this point, but I certainly didn't think he was bound for the P5. I figured some lowly team is gonna have to move funds around to get him or he'd end up stashed at the end of a P5 bench, cause they're the only ones with money left. Looks like it was the latter.

Nothing about his situation is that surprising to me. If he told Boals he wanted to test the waters, and Boals told him to kick rocks - I don't blame him. If he thought he was bound for the Penn State practice squad, but they didn't want him - enjoy your time 1,600 miles from home. If he's already making it known he's a one and done and he's better than them before he even touches the court... good luck. By the looks of it, this was likely his only offer. Maybe they had a nice purse to sway him.

I think at his size he could've developed into a really solid MAC player. Now he looks like a five schools in five years guy.

But that condition can also work in our favor. Find some guys who are stranded out in portal-land that thought Kentucky or Kansas was going to be beating their door down and nothing even remotely close happened. There are some 7-footers that are ending up better off than their stats dictate but even since Michigan cut down the nets with a giant post player in the middle, big size on the front line is back in style. Too bad for lots of those REALLY tall guys, they will end up playing 6 minutes per game to give the real center or PF a rest. Instead of the 8 points and 4 rebounds they averaged in 22 minutes/gm at West Central State Tech & Bible College, they will end up averaging more like 2 points and 1 rebound per gm.

WMU brings in Southern Utah�s Tanner Brown. 6�6, averaged 10ppg and shot 46% from 3.

Yesterday, WMU brought in its highest rated HS recruit ever in Jordan Sigmon. #23 ranked PG and held offers from Bama, Akron, Toledo, LSU, and Vandy.

That one is a hard pass, he has a not great criminal background. Also, unlike the other former 5 start turned TSU signee, his production and metrics have not been great. You want Jeff to pay a ton of money for someone charged with some pretty horrific stuff and who wasn�t a good player last season?

After transferring to Memphis, head coach Penny Hardaway confirmed that BRADSHAW (not Morris) was fined portions of his NIL earnings for issues related to tardiness and dress code violations. Show me where anybody said Boals should offer a single red cent to Morris? I still would have been okay with Bradshaw ending up here. He had a short-lived domestic thing accusation in Columbus once but no charges were filed and he returned to the team. (he was a first semester freshman at the time?) Innocent unless proven guilty? Does that even still exist?

Then what was your intent in posting about Arterio Morris? The intent with Bradshaw (who never had any connection to the staff) was clearly to say you think the staff should have tried to get him. If the intent of the post isn�t to say that the staff should have looked at Morris then what is it? To inform us about transfers to a random OVC school?

I never said anything about Bradshaw having a criminal history, I said Morris has a criminal history�.because he does. He was convicted and proven guilty of domestic violence and the other more serious charge was dropped due to insufficient evidence. I fail to see the relevance to this board or the MAC transfer portal for a guy with no contact to our staff.

But it was about a guy who lit us up at home in the Convo, thus relevant to Ohio basketball. Not grounds to misquote posters and pretend they said something they DIDN'T say. Are you not able to admit a foot-in-mouth moment? That's a shame. It apparently takes a bigger man than you are able to be to do that.
