The flyer for the Varsity Show at Mem. Aud. shows limited seating and says that campus social distancing and masking rules will apply.

Has anyone heard how they will handle basketball games ?

Single game tickets just went on sale this morning. A few changes in ticket sales I noticed that I don't believe have been the case in the past...

1) Weekend games are more expensive than weekday games (good!)

2) There are three sections in the 100 level behind one of the baskets selling single game tickets. They are $5 more expensive than the 200 level seats regardless of weekend/weekday. I've been saying for years that they should sell lower level seats on a single-game basis. Maybe they'll open more of the sideline sections later so as to entice season ticket buying right now, but if they sell 100 level seats behind the basket for $20, make the sideline 100s available for $30 and the sections immediately behind the benches and table $40.

I haven't noticed any distancing requirements. They do tell you to mask up.

Just tell you or actively enforce it?

They have announced it at the beginning of matches. I'm not gonna say they have enforced it.

Thats pretty much how it is at sports arenas everywhere. I went to a Flyer's game a few weeks ago and they said masks were mandatory, but I would garner to say maybe 20% were wearing them, no enforcement.

It was enforced at Rocket Mortgage during the MAC tournament.

True, I was there and they did enforce it then... 7 months ago with very limited vaccine rollout. Almost all sporting events at the time enforced it with limited capacity. Its not happening anymore. Now its full capacity pretty much everywhere, masks strongly encouraged but not enforced.

That is an understatement. I think about 6 times between me and my son we got rebuked for the mask being slightly below our nose, or our mask not being returned in a timey fashion after taking a drink, etc. Closest I ever felt to the KGB.

Are masks "encouraged" in the Convocation Center or "required"? Do you have to wear one into the arena then remove it at your seat?
