Looks like they might benefit from Memphis, ECU and SMU deciding to end their seasons after their bowl games were cancelled.

CMU goes from a less than a half million dollar payout bowl to $4.5-million payout bowl. Do they get to keep their $2.25 million share, or do they have to share it with the MAC?

I think the usual deal is that the payout, less the school's expenses, is turned over to the MAC office and is shared in some manner among the schools.

At least CMU gets to see more of the American Southwest this way. Instead of just hanging out in Tucson all week, they can bus the 315 miles to El Paso.
