I liked that piece a lot. It shows that he's maintaining a very positive attitude despite no leadership above him. You can tell he's working hard but is not asserting himself vocally because of the 3 seniors and even Treg. I think next year he and Treg will fit in very nicely along with Laster, Khari and Ryan Taylor with Simmons, Kaminski, Dartis and Block who all will make an impact instantly. A starting lineup of Big Tone, Simmons, Kaminski, Ryan Taylor and Gavin Block with Treg, Laster, Dartis and Gollon off the bench wins the MAC this year!

It won't be easy but I feel like the chemistry will already be better next year. Two of our new starters are with the team this year while Ryan Taylor with more muscle and Tony even more slimmed down and able to lead plus what I think are a pair of perimeter studs in Block and Dartis will make us contenders again. We will lose three solid players but how often does a team replace 3 talented seniors with more than three equal if not better players? We should be contending this year. Just think about next year.

Which incoming player is, without a doubt, equal or better than Maurice Ndour?

Overall talent-wise? No one is better than Mo. If you judge on talent alone then you're crazy. I believe that Kaminski, when all is said and done, will have made more of an impact on this program than Mo did. He will not rebound as well or score as well but I feel like after hearing him in interviews and seeing him play a small role at a major Big 10 program, he's going to go for 15 and 6 every night and end up with 4 or more assists per game as a passing big man.

Mo's strength is versatility. He can do some fun things on both ends of the floor, but Tony's baby hook is a thing of beauty. I really think I'd rather see Tony get the ball down low than Mo (mid-range is a different story).

Kaminski is an elite 3 point shooter, no? I think having him play the role of forward-who-can-shoot-3s rather than Tony or Mo trying it is going to be a boost to the offense.

So, is anyone coming in "better" than Mo? Probably not. But will the offense as a whole work better? Yeah, I think it will.

The loss of Bean makes up for the loss of Mo.

I am also a big fan of Tony Campbell. My hope is that he gets in the weight room looks more like a Trent and Hunter next year. It's hard to believe he's probably the best three point shooter we have on the team. He really needs to be down low to be the most effective.

I think it is admirable that he is able to inside ad out. That is a coach's dream. I am very happy to see him working on his post game while maintaining a 40% clip from 3.

I contend he does not have to be down low ....or should I say ....stay down low...to be effective. I think Frank the Tank is a good model for playing inside and out. Tony can be effective in that role. He does have to make his inside presence well established. He has demonstrated ...even in that clip ....that he can deck the ball and get to the rack with just a few steps.

Saul is building around the Centerpiece and is seemingly on paper assembling pieces that are part of a pretty interesting concept. Hope they all get their game on and understand how the parts fit. Tony is impressive when looking at mid major bigs developing. Be awful nice to take that lump of coal and make it shine like a diamond.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
