Stop the Zips.

Interested to see what kind of game this will be since we're clearly in a down year and Akron is still solid while figuring things out. Laster/Taylor get their first taste of a college hoops rivalry.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

I can't get out of work. This will be the first Ohio Men's Basketball game I'll miss while being on campus. Feels weird, man.

Went a little too far west, let's go SJ Earthquakes!

I'm thinking break all my superstition rules.

No green underwear
Where a Browns sweatshirt
No Green Kool-Aid
Arrive after game start
Yell at refs "Good Call!"

Instead of none, I think the answer might be more.

Not uncommonly low amount for 50+ hours before tip off.

The last time there was a game without both Abreu and Treadwell. No arrest reports to discuss.

A big problem we've had so far during the MAC season is hanging onto the ball. We've turned it over 29 times more than our opponents in eight games -- almost four per game. A big part of that is steals: we're a minus 16.

We will get by.

Recent OT home games in this series have not been kind to the Cats.

I can't forsee this getting to OT, but I was wrong about Akron this year too. They've managed to get respectable production from Robotham and Evans at the PG spot that I though could be their undoing.

This is a different Akron team that we've seen in years past. They're really a true team, without the marquee players like Tree, Diggs, Zeke, etc. Instead, they run 10 guys out there that are obviously getting it done. And, this team will only lose Evans and Ibitayo to graduation this year.

Hi guys. It's been awhile since I visited Bobcatattack, and I've only been able to catch a couple of games when I wasn't watching Akron. From the few games I've watched, I've noticed a lot of turnovers and the team seems to be lacking fluidity. I know 3 coaches in 5 years is rough, but do you guys think there's any other primary reasons the season hasn't gone very well for you guys this year?

On the Akron side, a lot of us are surprised to be where we are at this point in the season. If you would have asked Zips fans a couple months ago that we'd be in first in the MAC east minus Treadwell, with a bunch of young players at the helm, most would have laughed at the idea.

Reggie McAdams and Jake Kretzer are having relatively down years (despite McAdams having a 31 point game the other night). We've been very surprised from what we've seen out of Robotham and Forsythe this year...Forsythe is almost a completely different player. Player to watch I'd say is BJ Gladden. He's been emerging the past couple of games.

For those of you who are going to the game, you might not recognize Dambrot on the side of the court, he's lost a tremendous amount of weight.

I've come to expect this kind of season from Akron, actually. The last few years, it seems like losing a player of importance doesn't really derail the train. Diggs, Abreu, Treadwell, Harney, it doesn't seem to stop them from producing W's. The game last year down here was a crushing blow to witness in person, Diggs was a nightmare. Two years ago it was Kretzer going off in the Convo. I'm expecting another very tough game tomorrow night even minus Tree.

Actually, we are at 3 coaches in 4 seasons. Groce and the Sweet 16 run wasn't even 3 years ago yet.

Brutal guard play, and it all goes downhill from there. No ball movement. No assists. Very poor perimeter defense which causes penetration that gets our bigs in foul trouble. Those bigs, who are the best players on the team, starve for the ball on offense while the guards hoist threes with 30 seconds on the shot clock or recklessly drive into the lane. It adds up to a lot of losses and a rare Ohio wilderness campaign. The team is not without talent, of course. The rare games the guards shoot well or the forwards are actually fed have provided the lone bright spots this year. The team has some good players, young talent and a bright future, but they are not a good team this year. I don't think they'll even make it to Cleveland.

Interior passing (when it has rarely occurred) has been sloppy also. Usually rocket pass to the knees or lower, w/o benefit of a catchable bounce. Or, receiver just not not ready or concentrating on the dish.

Not a weekday game routine - hard to get there from Cbus after work on time for just game start. Maybe I will speed tomorrow to try and down a pint just to see if that's the rub.....

A lot of things I have seen this season drive me nuts, but near the top of that list is poor interior passing. You've got a big guy in the paint calling for the ball and it's thrown in below his knees. A lot of times at the ankles. Give the big fellas a chance to catch the ball.

How much longer until you can make Convo trips again?
