For information on the recent site downtime and the data loss, please view the story on the homepage, or here.

There are not many times when one can get rid of one's history.  Thanks to computers it can happen.  There are times when one wants to start over and now the BobatAttack has that opportunity.  I look forward to the future.

Data loss isn't the end of the world... at least the evidence of me being a TOS apologist is lost forever...

Haha - Good one John.

Ryan & Ted, I think I speak for at least 99% of the board when I say don't fret.  These things happen, and although digging up ancient posts was mildly fun, it's not what makes the website.  We appreciate all you do.

How can everyone give these Shysters (Ted/Ryan - if that is their real names) a pass on this catastrophic data loss?

kidding kidding. No worries at all. I'll construct a few rants about scheduling and Sayles, and we'll call it even.

Glad we are back as a community. Thanks, Ryan for putting things back together.

And a request....to whoever started the thread about M%^&i sucking. Please get it going again. We've got a lot of catching up to do.

I think we need a "thread you are most glad has been lost" poll - not sure what the best choices would be.

Does this mean that bobcat love loses his self-created "emeritus" status?

Thanks for all the hard work fellas.

By the way, hardly anyone has a profile picture up.  Get to work on that, stat.

And I was only five posts short of mailing in for the secret Bobcat decoder ring with x-ray vision glasses.

Wait...they DIDN'T work like Campbell Soup labels, S&H Green Stamps and Kool-Aid points? Color me shocked...

Wow, now I'm not 6,000 posts behind Bobcat Love... at least for the moment.

Just want to make sure no one confuses the two of us because of our user names. I post once every 3 months or so; that's all.  I mostly just read.

Losing past threads isn't all that terrible. Let's just press on and cheer on our men together. Go Bobcats!

No Harm, No Foul       With an new era starting with bobcatattack, I go with a new name. but thanks,  Ryan, Ted and other administrators for making this an entertaining site. We may not all get along sometimes,  but there is one thing we all have in common and thats the love for our Ohio Bobcats.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am convinced that some how, some way, this is all Tom Boeh's fault.

seems so long ago since this happened. As long as we are commending Russ and Those around the program I wanted to give a shout out to Ryan, Ted, Jeff and the rest for rebuilding this and keeping us together.

Lost a lot of reference and PMs in the crash but I think we have recovered nicely......and after all....that is what communities do.....

Nice to know that even in the short time since the crash OHIO has taken a leap, there has been a huge shift in the culture in the Convo.....did I say HUGE shift in culture.....and oddly enough Miami has truly found a way to bury their and gut their athletic program and take SUCKAGE to a new level.

Thanks guys. Truly well done.

Since this old thread was resurrected, has this site been compromised or deemed vulnerable at all by the Heartbleed bug?

This thread takes us back to when we thought we would never get an IFP.

It is a shame we do not have access to the posts from the old Ohio University T-Com Board that some of us were charter members of in the 1990's.  I wonder what ever happened to "3-Ball", "Marco" and "Mr. Jordan"?

I remember the days of hitting the refresh button to see if Stafford Owens would become OUr first 3 Star football recruit as I wanted to break the news before Monroe Slavin could.  The was so long ago that Monroe was Monroe Slavin, not Monroe Slavin CPA.

I just fired up a packet capture while I logged in. The good news is Heartbleed isn't a worry. The bad news is the packet containing both my email and password was sent without using any encryption. Its wide open :(
