It's hard for me to vibe with ppl here at OU.

Could be nothing.....but maybe JC knew something a little more in his post game comments.

I wouldn't read too much into a few random texts here and there from college students.  Otherwise, we will be going crazy with worry during the off season.  People tend to tweet their momentary feelings.  Time will tell with all of the players on our roster.  This kind of thing is epidemic and a way of life on the college level any more.

Jeff's right. Twitter posts can also be taken out of context. Here's a follow-up tweet to that:

I guess it's because I expect them to act like they from Cincy and act like the ppl I rock with

It's the same kind of reaction I had when I was a freshman. People from different areas acted differently. That's what I loved about OU, though.

Yikes...I sure hope he stays in Athens!  Also, I try to never get excited one way or another when I see tweets and facebook quotes.  However, Athens is not Cincinnati and I can say that having lived in both places.  Still they are only a few hours away.  I doubt he is coming "home" to play for Cincy or X BUT he may be showing his preference for the malls that a places like Akron have.  Haven't we seen recruits say that before on this board?

Reading tweets (or facebook messages) from 18-22 year olds will drive you crazy and grey before your time

I love Twitter, but this one of its downfalls. This tweet is meaningless. A kid can't even speak his mind without people on a message board freaking out about his loyalty to his respective basketball program. Seriously, this is not news.

This is why I don't follow players on Twitter.

what is why? Kind of a general statement that does not give a reason. Care to elaborate

Who needs player tweets when you have longdistancebobcat and bobcatblitz?

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

I usually let spelling gaffes go....I don't mind "loosing" games or long "roads" to hoe. The occasional "mute"point does not  deter me from reading posts that "for all intensive purposes" are devoid of any signs of learning or accuracy in "there" content but how the hell did this happen?

San Juan Capistrano....it's in Cali.....and the biological return is not fish but birds......Swallows....like your beautiful women that flock.....

flocking and swallowing.....Only in Athens..

Borna, it's a dumb quote :)

Borna, I agree with him about the twitter thing. What can you glean from that comment or any like it from teenage basketball players? It's the opposite of being "not with it" or "too old to get it". There has never been  a greater access to information in the history of the world. Why would I want to read a steady dose of " I'm not  down with the people in Athens cause they not like cincy"? There is so much more that's worth your time. That's all.

I follow a variety of people, including some players on twitter.  In fact, I think I follow a couple people in this thread.  But it is for entertainment value only, don't take anything seriously, and everything is taken with a grain of salt.

Funny stuff Borna.
