The entire nation knows who VCU is. Shaka Smart has not only taken their basketball program to the "next level" he has taken their entire University to the "next level" of national prominence. While I am sure that going from the underdog to the big-dog who got upset this past week was very difficult for not only the hipsters, but every single diehard fan of VCU, I don't believe questioning if it was a good investment is even debatable. OT-It is amazing how quick the status of schools can change via sports. 5 years ago, go tell a VCU or Butler or Creighton fan they are where they are today. I've seen crazier things happen.
