Fight on TU!  I went to grad school there - it was a good night for both of my teams!

I thought the same thing about the gym.  My first thought when SportsCenter showed it was that it was a high school game highlight.  Towson just built a brand new 5,000 arena so I have no idea why they didn't play there.

The arena might have been booked for another engagement.  I think that's why Georgetown played at McDonough as well.

Their attendance isn't available on ESPN but I'd venture to guess they outdrew EMU.

It's amazing to me how many D1 programs play in similar gyms.  Sacramento State is pretty tiny and I was surprised how small Stony Brook's was while watching a bit of the America East final.  Makes me appreciate the Convo, despite its issues, all the more.

The G B Hodge Center has a capacity of 878. Good lawd! They would have to sell out at $35/seat to cover the CIT hosting fee.

Another team that didnt put a BIG on the thrower allowing a mid court pass.

Borna or someone help me out here...is this what everyone does now to have the extra defender?  It cost miami a game and I see JC didn't guard the CSU inbounds either.  I guess I am really old school but don't ya have to put your biggest big in front of the thrower?

I watched someone call a timeout the other night and put a big on the throw in....I smiled. I am not sure why this is not protocol. Groce was pretty good about that wit Devo, baltic, Smith and still puts Egwu or Ekey on the inbounds.

If you make someone look through you or throw over the top it is always harder. I am not sure of the logic with not covering up the inbounder.

Maybe I will put that up on one of the other boards and see what the coaches answer.

Hmmm... 5 to cover 4.    But that leaves inbounder with good angles to get the pass in and, if time allows, to make his or herself available unguarded as a scorer.

I vote for making the inbounds pass difficult.

I think it depends on how many seconds left. If enough time left for the inbounding team to set and run off a screen or pass to roller off screen then you prolly want to cover the last second shot past half court. 3 seconds or less Big on inbounder, 3-8 seconds or so protect past half court?

Like this?  yes I will keep using it to illustrate because it applies.

St. Johns played their NIT game on campus, as well, at Carnasecca Arena.  I was curious about it as I thought they played as MSG.  I read that for games they feel will be under 6K they play there, which is mostly non-con early games.  All Big East games are played at MSG.

Wow.... I thought it was Upstart all this time. The mind sees what it wants I guess. My cousin was a pretty decent soccer goalie at Wofford...which is also in Sparty is it not? Seems to be a lot of higher edjumication in the Carolinas.

Wofford is indeed in Spartanburg.  Pretty nice campus but surrounded by a not so nice part of town.
