I don't care how much it costs.  We need this technology.

That is your jumbotron/scoreboard solution right there, only catch is you would need to keep the lights dim over the seats so the image is bright enough.

Take your pick: project from the outer walls of the Convo with four of those hi-def projectors onto projection curtains hanging over center court, or hang the curtains in the upper bowl and project out from center court.  Voila!  Hi-def scoreboards without the weight of all the mechanicals.

The Few, The Proud, The Bobcats!

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.

Thanks. That is the singularly most spectacular thing I have seen done with a basketball court in my life. makes the forest at Oregon look absolutely pedestrian.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

During the off-season, think about how much fun we could have with this projecting images on Court Street.

Whoa! That's actually a pretty fantastic solution. The only tweaks I would have are putting the projectors on the catwalks angled down at the screen and "stacking" the projectors if we couldn't find one powerful enough.

Went a little too far west, let's go SJ Earthquakes!

This was done outdoors and on a much larger scale for closing ceremonies of the Tour de France on the Arc de Triomphe. Amazing what the technology can do.

When it comes to special effects, I'm not sure you can beat this:

I could not turn away from the Sochi opening ceremonies when they were using this technology.

It's mindbending.

You may actually be on to something if the lighting issue can be figured out.  2 big white screens on the ends and 2 big projecters sue would be a cheap route to take.

what we need in the Convo is the NCAA play in games. If Dayton can host it in their 13K seat arena why can't we?

Not enough hotel rooms.  Nearest major airport is 75 miles away.
